Sail with the Whales out of Pelican1's home port Bermagui from Sept 24

We are offering you an opportunity to come whale watching with us during the southern migration of the now ever-increasing number of whales heading to their feeding grounds in Antarctica.

Experience whale watching under sail aboard the 19m Pelican 1, from Bermagui. The 19-metre sailing catamaran and her crew specialise in marine research and education all around Australia, including studies on Blue and Sperm Whales. Bermagui is her home port and she’s a familiar sight during whale watching season. Enjoy being on board our wonderful vessel at sea with the wind in her sails. Watch the humpback whales, albatross, shearwater and dolphins. Haul a rope or kick back as the Sapphire Coast slips silently by.

Tours begin September 24, with 3 hour trips daily at 9am. You can help to sail the catamaran, or relax on the covered deck with a drink as the coastline slips away.

Departing: East Jetty, Bermagui Harbour near Saltwater Fish and Chips.

Bookings are Essential

Phone: Garry 0425727553 or email:garry@svpelican.com.au

Cost: $60 per person, $50 per concession (includes a light morning tea).

What to bring: Wear soft, flat, non-marking shoes or bare feet. Bring warm clothing, sunscreen, hat, shades etc. Tea/coffee/cordial with muffins provided

In bad weather, trips may be cancelled without charge. Wherever possible trips will be made under full sail. Whale sightings cannot be guaranteed but at this time of year we have a 95% success rate.

All proceeds support Pelican’s environmental work.

On @Pelican1 for another brilliant day of #whalewatching. We could sit at the edge & dangle our feet #canberrascoast pic.twitter.com/X1hCCnnCJE
