Saltwater Projects and IPMEN feature as Case Studies in a UNESCO's recent report on Ocean Literacy

Saltwater Projects is proud to be included as one of the Cases Studies in this UNESCO report on Ocean Literacy. Two of our projects Two Bays and the Hope Vale/Pelican project are included.

This report marks an important shared moment for the concept of Ocean Literacy.

Learning about the hidden world of microplastics on board Pelican1

During the Ecocentre day out we ran a sediment sampling run, looking for microplastics in the sediment of the Maribynong River. Port Phillip Bay has had very few studies of this type and hopefully the work done over the last years by researchers and government agencies can be ramped up to discover the depth of the problem, literally.
