Dr Emma originally came on the project as a training doctor as part of the project's TIME for HOPE program initiated by partnership with Samia Goudie and Queensland Uni, just over 8 years ago. She has since become the main co-ordinator of the health component of the Hope Vale/Pelican project. Her love of the sea was fostered by lots of time near the sea, fossicking and swimming. But she says it was the first time snorkelling in Fiji that opened her eyes to the wonder of the underwater world. Actually our Emma is a doctor doctor as she has a PhD in research too!
